How to read these guides

  • Inpatient limit is the annual maximum the insurer pays for hospital treatment on that plan. Most other benefits sit inside it as sub-limits.
  • Bed entitlement is the room the plan pays for — a daily rate for a private or shared room, up to the limit.
  • Optional benefits (outpatient, maternity, dental and optical) are chosen on top of the inpatient cover and add to the premium.
  • Waiting periods apply before certain conditions are covered; accidents are usually covered immediately.
  • Co-payment is the amount you pay at the hospital for an outpatient visit on selected providers, and it varies by hospital tier.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose between these medical covers?
Start with the cover type (individual and family, children only, or group), then the inpatient limit you want and whether you need outpatient, maternity, dental or optical benefits. The quote engine prices every plan that fits those choices side by side, so the comparison is like for like.
Is the cheapest plan the best one?
Not always. Plans at the same limit differ in their sub-limits, waiting periods, co-payments and the hospitals they access. Each quotation lists those differences, and the guide pages here explain what to look for.
Can I compare plans from more than one insurer?
Yes — that is the point of the site. Select the cover you need and leave the insurer list open, and quotations from every insurer that offers it are returned together.
What happens after I request a quotation?
You receive a quotation you can download and keep. Nothing is payable to Now Insurance Agency: premiums go directly to the insurer you choose once you are ready to proceed.
